IEEE Melecon 2020 took place from 16-18 June and amongst the participants were InstaDeep’s very own Zohra Slim who was invited to take part in a panel featuring ‘Successful Startups’.
The international forum focuses on presenting design methodologies, techniques, and experimental results in emerging electro-technologies that aim to provide resources and services to foster entrepreneurial engineering and technological innovation to benefit humanity. Naturally, seeing the effects we are experiencing the world over due to Covid19, the impacts we are seeing on businesses was also a hot topic, especially what startups can and are doing to cope.
Zohra talks about how InstaDeep scaled from two people in 2014 into a 100-person strong company with six offices globally today, giving valuable advice and insights. Additionally, she speaks about the importance of taking chances and getting important visibility through events and partner programs including Nvidia’s Inception Program in 2017, and local government support through the Start-up Act in Tunisia. She also spills the beans on how InstaDeep tackled being faced with Covid19!
