InstaDeep was a proud Platinum Sponsor of the recent Festival of Biologics, held from the 9th to the 11th November 2021 in Basel, Switzerland, where it exhibited the company’s AI-powered protein design platform, DeepChain.
The DeepChainTM product team was on-site at the Congress Center Basel throughout the Festival, showcasing the innovative AI-powered protein design platform. In addition to offering live product demonstrations, specific use-case discussions and strategic games of Go and Chess at the company’s booth, two of the company’s senior DeepChainTM experts participated in the event’s packed agenda:
- Dr Nicolás Lopez Carranza, DeepChainTM Product Lead, hosted a roundtable session on the topic of “Applying AI and machine learning to Protein Design”
- Dr Lopez Carranza also presented a talk titled “New Opportunities in AI and Protein Design”.
- Dr Marcin J. Skwark, DeepChainTM Bioinformatics Lead, spoke on a panel about “Computational Approaches for Antibody Discovery and Development”.
The Festival of Biologics was comprised of 3 co-located events – European Antibody Congress, Immunotherapy World Congress and World Biosimilar Congress – designed as a 3-day global gathering of pharma & biotech, academics and research institutes, together with their partners across the value chain. The schedule covered biologic drug discovery, development, manufacturing, pricing & market access.
The DeepChainTM team spent the event demonstrating how the platform accelerates protein research and protein-based drug development; and how Deepchain’sTM scalable high-performance computing, innovative AI algorithms and intuitive interface enables enterprises to get results faster than ever before.
