Our History

Founded in 2014, InstaDeep is today an EMEA leader in decision-making AI products for the Enterprise, with headquarters in London, and offices in Paris, Tunis, Lagos, Dubai and Cape Town. The company was recently selected by CB Insights as one of the 100 most promising AI start-ups in the world.

InstaDeep has also developed collaborations with global leaders in the Artificial intelligence ecosystem, such as Google DeepMind, Nvidia and Intel. The Company is part of Intel’s AI Builders program and was named a Preferred Deep Learning Partner by NVIDIA.



Thanks to its mentoring programs and ecosystem initiatives, the company provides opportunities for promising young talents, and hires elite researchers and engineers from the whole African continent and Europe. InstaDeep has developed strong ties and research collaborations with leading universities in France, the UK and the US.

Karim Beguir

Co-Founder & CEO

Karim is InstaDeep’s Chief Executive Officer. He helps companies get to grips with the latest AI breakthroughs and deploy these in order to improve efficiency and ROI. As a graduate of France's Ecole Polytechnique and former Program Fellow at NYU's Courant Institute, Karim has a passion for teaching and using applied mathematics. He is also a Google Developer Expert and a mentor at Google for Startups Accelerator and is a steering committee member of Deep Learning Indaba. Karim is on a mission to democratise AI and make it accessible to a wide audience.

Zohra Slim

Co-Founder & CD&VO

Zohra is InstaDeep’s Chief Digital and Visualization Officer. She is completely self-taught with in-depth knowledge of software and system integrations. In addition, she possesses a unique drive which, combined with her second-to-none people management skills, ensures projects are delivered to excellence and on time. After leading a team of developers in India, Zohra co-founded InstaDeep.

Isabelle Levard

Chief Financial Officer

Isabelle is the Chief Financial Officer at InstaDeep, based out of our Paris office. Prior to joining, Isabelle was the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Baobab. She also has strong knowledge and experience of Business Planning, Banking, Credit Risk, Private Equity, and Financial Modelling following various roles previously. Isabelle has a finance degree from Université Paris Dauphine.

Amine Kerkeni

Head of Engineering

Amine is leading the Engineering team at InstaDeep. He joined the company in 2017 after a career in software development where he lead engineering teams in various industries (semiconductor, consumer electronics, investment banking). Initially, Amine started Deep Learning and AI as a hobby, but ended up dropping everything to pursue his goal of deploying artificial intelligence to solve real life problems. He is driven by the ambition of replacing classic operational research techniques with AI.

Sinda Ben Salem

Senior Product Lead

Dr Sinda Ben Salem received her doctorate in Operations Research from Ecole Centrale Paris in 2010, and from there has gone on to have a fulfilling career, with more than 10 years of experience leading projects in the aviation and energy fields, to name a few. She joined InstaDeep in 2019 with a clear objective: combine OR techniques & AI to tackle the most combinatorial real-world problems. Dr Sinda Ben Salem also excels at leading and building talented teams and empowering them to succeed.

Rihab Gorsane

AI Research Engineer

Rihab joined InstaDeep in 2018 as an AI Research Engineer, fresh from receiving her software engineering degree from the Tunisian National School of Computer Science (ENSI). She is ambitious about solving NP-hard problems using Hybrid Operations Research approaches and Deep Reinforcement Learning. Rihab has been nominated as the first woman Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning in Africa and Middle-East. She also mentors at Udacity in the Deep Reinforcement Learning Nanodegree.
